Similan Island Tours

About this guide

Similan Island Tours (similanisland.tours) is an independent guide to visiting the Similan Islands from Phuket, Khao Lak and Krabi. We explain which tours exist, what they cost, how the day works and when the park's open. We don't sell tours. No commission. And no operator pays to get mentioned.

What we cover

Basically, everything people ask before booking their first Similan trip: the types of Similan island tours, which companies to consider, private charters, departures from Phuket and Khao Lak, day tours versus liveaboards, diving. Then the practical bits: getting there, where to stay and the open season.

How we research

  • Prices, schedules and inclusions come from the operators' own websites and their main booking listings. Each page names its sources and the month we checked them.
  • Park rules, fees and season dates come from the national park information published by Thai National Parks and the Department of National Parks, cross-checked against operator announcements.
  • We haven't been on every boat we describe, and we say so rather than invent experiences. Review scores are quoted from the platform that shows them, never made up.
  • We update the season page every October and May, and prices when operators publish new rates.

Photos

The photos show the Similan Islands' landscapes: Sail Rock, Donald Duck Bay, granite boulders, reefs, boats. Unless a caption says otherwise, they aren't photos of any particular operator's tour, even where a branded boat shows up. So check each operator's own photos before you book.

Independence

No affiliate links, no sponsored placements, nothing like that on this site. Links to operators and booking sites carry nofollow; they're there so you can check details yourself. Spotted something out of date? Tell us. See also our terms of use and privacy policy.
